Glue Up Process

  • The glue-up process for hardwood and softwood requires careful preparation and clamping for a strong bond. For hardwood and softwood, smooth jointed edges are essential, with even glue application and high-pressure clamps.

  • We glue up some products to achieve the desired widths, as certain materials don’t meet customer requests. Once the boards are glued and sent through the moulder, the seamless finish makes it difficult to identify glue-up boards.

CEDAR

CLEAR YELLOW PINE

DOUGLAS FIR

KNOTTY PINE

A softwood with visible knots, often used for rustic furniture and decorative purposes. 

SOUTHERN CYPRESS

A softwood known for its durability and resistance to rot, often used in outdoor construction.

VERTICAL GRAIN CEDAR

It offers a more consistent and visually appealing grain pattern like other vertical grain woods.

VERTICAL GRAIN DOUGLAS FIR

A milling method that produces straight and consistent grain, enhancing the wood's strength and appearance.
